1. What is The Donut Butler?

The Donut Butler is a Discord bot designed for DonutSMP community servers. It provides giveaway management, spawner market tracking, DonutSMP API integrations, moderation tools, and utility commands.

2. Data We Collect

The Donut Butler collects and stores the following data to operate its features:

  • Discord User IDs — to track giveaway entries, sponsor points, ping violation counts, and ticket ownership.
  • Discord Server (Guild) IDs — to associate settings, prices, and configurations with the correct server.
  • Discord Channel and Message IDs — to track giveaway embeds, spawner market messages, and leaderboard messages for live updates.
  • Giveaway data — entries, winners, bias settings, and prize information. This is stored per-server.
  • Spawner prices and ticket links — per-server configuration set by administrators.
  • Sponsor points — point totals per user per server, set by authorised staff.
  • Ping violation counts — per-user per-server violation history for timeout escalation.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not read, store, or log the content of general messages in your server.
  • We do not collect email addresses, passwords, or any personal information outside of Discord.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
  • We do not track users across servers they share the bot with.

4. How Data is Stored

All data is stored in JSON files on the server hosting the bot. Data is associated with Discord IDs only and is not linked to any personally identifiable information. Data is stored for as long as the bot is active in your server.

5. DonutSMP API

Some commands (/d-stats, /d-baltop, /d-ah etc.) retrieve live data from the DonutSMP public API. This data is fetched on demand and is not stored by the bot. The DonutSMP API's own terms and privacy policy apply to that data.

6. Data Removal

If you wish to have your server's data removed, kick The Donut Butler from your server. To request removal of specific user data, contact the bot owner via the DonutSMP Discord.

7. Terms of Use

  • The Donut Butler is provided as-is with no warranty of uptime or availability.
  • Do not attempt to exploit, abuse, or reverse-engineer the bot's functionality.
  • The owner reserves the right to remove the bot from any server at any time.
  • Misuse of admin or owner commands is strictly prohibited.
  • The bot must not be used to violate Discord's own Terms of Service.

8. Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
